Historian and Anthropologist
As a professional writer and photographer, he is the author of more than a dozen books and thousands of published photographs.
Founding member of the Pyrenees Documentation Center (CEDPIR).
Director and sponsor of the Sonne Project.

Jordi Sargatal i Vicens
Ornithologist and Naturalist
Since 1972, he has been dedicated to the study of nature, particularly birds and wetlands as a natural system.
He was one of the young activists who, in 1978, protested against urban speculation to conserve the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà.

Lluís Fíguls i Torrebadella
IT Technician
He arrived in Pallars Sobirà in 1999 and has since been responsible for IT tasks and audiovisual developments.
Passionate about mountains and wildlife, he has found in this region the perfect combination of work and his passions.
Founding member of the Pyrenees Documentation Center (CEDPIR) and the designer and developer of this website for the Sonne Project.

Clara Anyó i Prat
Photographer, audiovisual producer and historian
Professional videographer, photographer and nature lover.
Founding member of CEDPIR where she has collaborated as a researcher, documentarian and photographer.

Francesc Rodríguez i Ambel
Naturalist
The mountains and nature are both his passions and his profession.
Founder of the nature guiding company Obaga Activitats.
As a naturalist and environmental educator, he is passionate about showcasing this vast territory: its aesthetic and static qualities, its richness and beauty, and its great biodiversity.
He is the author of the fieldwork and scientific project.

Born in 1957 in Barcelona. Lived in Menorca for 37 years.
A Pyrenees enthusiast due to family tradition. From a young age, he has been searching for the most difficult answers.
A practicing Buddhist for 25 years.

Biologist
Born and raised in Pallars Sobirà, which led him to discover his great passion: nature.
Passionate from a young age, he decided to study biology to bring a professional perspective to his vocation.

Andreu i Victòria
Farmers
Young farmers from Alt Àneu have left their jobs to dedicate themselves to raising and caring for sheep.
The symbiosis generated between herd and meadow generates benefits for both parties.

Jesús Marqués Solé
Wildlife Reserve Ranger
A native of Pallars, passionate about the mountains and an expert in wildlife management and monitoring.
He began in 1996, tracking the first released bears (Ziva, Melba, and Pyros) and continues working in the management of the Alt Pallars National Hunting Reserve.

The Riparian Forest
The riverbanks feature a characteristic type of vegetation known as riparian vegetation.
The Prat de l'Ermita holds great ecological value.
Son
The name Sonne was first documented in the year 839 in reference to the village of Son.
It is a Germanic name that literally translates to Sun.
